Some Gigs, Some Recommendations: Podcast & Book.

Hi Folks,

lemme get right to it: GIGS ...

This Saturday, November 6th, Linden Tree Coffeehouse: see details in flyer. This one is for my neighbors in the Andover, North Reading, Reading, Wakefield area.

Performing with my lovely and talented friend, Janet Feld has been a joy! This show is hybrid, so you can join us in-person or via Zoom.

Thanksgiving Eve at Club Passim, Wed, Nov 24! My talented husband, Chris Lavancher and our talented friends, Doug Kwartler & Susan Levine--aka The Lied To's--will share a Double Album Release party,

I'll play mandolin and sing harmonies with Chris. Join us to celebrate his latest record, After The Flood & The Lied To's, title yet to be revealed, new record. It's gonna be a fun party!!

November 30th, Club Passim post T-day fun! Janet and I will (again) be trading tunes on a Tuesday night :-) Those of you who aren't folk music obsessed, like me, may not know about this tiny club in Harvard Square. It helped launched a young Joan Baez's career as she held court there once a week in the 60s. Baez introduced a young Bob Dylan to the venue, when the club wasn't so sure about him. :-) Please join us for a break from holiday stuff! Click for MORE DETAILS

Stay tuned. More details to come on ... 1)Dec, 12: A 2021 Vigil of Remembrance and Hope to END GUN VIOLENCE: I'm honored to be participating in this important event. I'll be singing my song Are We Listening, wrote in response to the Newtown shooting. The amazing Susan Levine (of the above-mentioned Lied To's) will sing her song, Ordinary Day, written in response to the Parkland shooting. The vigil will be held at the Woburn United Methodist Church, 4:00 PM - 523 Main Street, Woburn, MA.

2) POD: Everyday Cults, Everyday People: speaking of talented, my amazing friend, colleague and fellow cult buster, Gerette Buglion, followed up her beautiful memoir, An EveryDay Cult, with a fantastic podcast! I have too much to say right now... just, check it out & stay tuned!

3) BOOK: I'm Perfect, You're Doomed: speaking of talented peole who write memoirs about cultic experiences, I can't say enough and I have no words to adequately describe Kyria Abraham's simultaneously hilarious and profoundly heartbreaking "...tales from a Jehovah's Witness upbringing." You just have to read it ... except that I plan to share more words soon, so stay tuned! That's it for now! Thank you, Esther
